Greeks live for summer vacation.  Even in a country that gets an average of more than 250 days of sunlight per year you need something to sustain them through the dreary winter months, and for Greeks it’s the promise of a few days out of the city every year.  This year my wife and I went to Syros, located in the Aegean sea.

All of Greece is beautiful, but if you plan a trip try and make sure you get to at least one or two of the islands as well as the mainland.  You won’t regret it.
